Yvonne Tong ( 唐若韞 ) is an award-winning television producer, host and videojournalist based in Hong Kong. With over 6 years of work experiences in the news and media production industry, she is currently the television producer for “The Pulse” (a weekly English public and current affairs show) and the television host for《早辰．早晨》 “This Morning” (a daily Chinese morning news programme) in Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK).
She covers news, feature and investigative stories. Her areas of interests are human rights, law, international relations and Hong Kong- China politics.
In mid-2019, Yvonne produced a 46-min documentary “In the Prisons that Don’t Exist” (link to part 1 / 2 / 3). It earned an Intermedia-Globe Gold Award in Human Rights Documentaries at 2020 Hamburg World Media Festivals, a Merit in English Documentary Video at 2020 Human Rights Press Awards and was nominated for Best News Programme at 2019 Venice TV Award.
In the end of 2019, she produced a feature story called “Frontline Volunteers at the HK 2019 Movement – Volunteer Lawyers” (link to story). It earned an Intermedia-Globe Gold Award in Feature News at 2020 Hamburg World Media Festivals.
Previously, she was a videojournalist for Associated Press Television News Hong Kong. Her work was wired and distributed to television stations around the world. Prior to that, she was a reporter for《明報》 “Ming Pao News”.
