A Recognition in the Challenging Time: Merit in 2020 Human Rights Press Awards

This award comes in a time of adversity for journalists in Hong Kong. It has become increasingly difficult to play by the rules while upholding high quality of journalistic standards. At some point, I feel like I have lost the courage and creativity to jump out of the box…

Nevertheless, thank you Foreign Correspondents’ Club Hong Kong for the recognition!

  1. Impressive work Yvonne; well done.

I have personally started my own ‘human rights’ related writing in ‘mis-handling of firearms’ by the Hong Kong Police Force (HKPF) (still working on it) ….. which is a topic that nobody has looked at so far.
